BasePoint Foundation, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester and Kidz Give Back hosted two events at the Club. The first was with the nursery school children who completed the kits themselves to keep. The second event was with the teenagers who attend the Club. They stuffed 50 animals and collectively voted to donate them to the Maria Ferari Children’s Hospital. The teenagers were bused to the Ronald McDonald House at the hospital, were able to tour the facility and personally deliver the animals to the families for their children. BasePoint Foundation coordinated all volunteers and both events were incredibly well received.
BasePoint Foundation is scheduled to host several Kidz Give Back events within our communities in the coming months.
“We’ve had such incredible responses from the kids who participate in our events. Kids always tell us how much fun they had and some have even said it was the best day of their life.” – Hallie Wofsy, founder
About Kidz Give Back
Kidz Give Back is a non-profit focused on providing all children with the ability to give back to their community. They provide kits for children to stuff, dress and prepare plush toy animals for children in hospitals or financial distressed encouraging teenagers to “send love” to boys and girls within their community giving many youngsters the ability to give back to others instead of always being on the receiving end of assistance.
